Giornale di Diritto del Lavoro e relazioni industriali was founded by Gino Giugni and is now edited by an international group of scholars of varying backgrounds, with a shared and long-standing experience in research. The journal is an independent publication, based on rigorous scientific criteria and was conceived, at its inception, as a peer reviewed publication. It is addressed both to the academic community and to the main players in industrial relations. The focus of "Giornale" is on the multifaceted aspects of work, whether they relate to collective labour law or to individual employment relations. Special attention is also paid to comparative and European issues, and to essays in the field of industrial relations

Giornale di Diritto del Lavoro e relazioni industriali is member of the International Association of Labour Law Journals

Each paper is first evaluated by the Editors in chief with the collaboration of the journal’s Editorial Board, which checks its adherence to the editorial line. If it passes this first reading, the paper is sent to two reviewers, except in the case of experts invited to contribute for their recognised expertise. The reviewers may be members of the International Scientific Committee or selected on a case-by-case basis by the Editors in chief. The full list of referees is kept by the Editorial Board and published annually in the Journal. The Editorial Board then informs the author of the details provided by the referees. If the two referees’ opinions disagree, a third referee is consulted. The Editors in chief independently assess whether the adjustments are satisfactory. If not, the Editors in chief request further adjustments. Before being finally accepted, the paper must be fully adapted to the editorial standards of the Journal.
