Some definitions of peripheries, an excursus on a part of Torino peripheries; some thoughts about participation practices and social conflicts changes; a reflection on the specificities of urban regeneration policy today; a schematic list of contradictions which characterize the peripheries of Torino and the City urban regeneration policies today. In conclusion: the current conditions for urban regeneration are characterized by contradictions and fragmentation.
