An emerging culture of digital welfare based on sharing platforms is spreading more and more, and it could become a new form of innovation to be applied to the Public Administration: using sophisticated software tools, citizens can meet in a participatory infrastructure through which they interact and exchange goods and services with other actors. So platforms could become a place of re-intermediation, which with tools, algorithms and rules allow supply and demand to meet quickly and efficiently. Through an analysis of Alternanza Scuola Lavoro (ASL) within the WeGovNow Project, this article discusses some potentialities and some levels of criticality of digital welfare, using qualitative methods.
