My contribution aims at proposing some critical reflections about the role of school in safeguarding the fundamental rights of pupils with severe and very severe disabilities. More specifically, in the attempt to scrap the rhetoric of inclusion, this article intends to underline the merely symbolic role of the so-called "Buona Scuola" (Good School), as well as to out-point some critical issues in its supposedly innovative and educational function.
