Sociodramma e peer education

Sociodrama and peer education (by Donatella Armeli I.) - In working with the adolescents it is opportune to utilize appropriate operational tools that enable preventive action to exercise the discomfort from acting as instruments of change. At the regard, a vital contribution in working with adolescents there comes from the sociodrama as an effective tool to prevent and change. The present work, therefore, intends to address the issue of prevention of the behaviors in the adolescents at risk through the use of empowered peer education model and sociodramatic method, in order to promote a speech aimed at achieving social welfare. Indeed, as the peer education as sociodrama, as active methods, represent privileged tools to promote, in recipients of the assistance, a greater and deeper understanding of relevant issues. Specifically was recounted an experience produced by the Chair of Community Psychology of the University of Palermo which led to the creation of a sociodrama with the adolescents. This experience can provide a useful methodology for the construction of a project designed to make available to adolescents those opportunities and their resources to which they can draw in the process of the identity constructing and social relations in order to promote a culture of the responsible adolescence.
