The series – supported by BDO Italia - aims to address the relation between academic research and professional practice by exploring trends, paradigms and perspectives in accounting, auditing and risk management. The focus of the series is to promote a dialogue between academics and practitioners, as well as to bring academic research to practitioners by offering a platform where to communicate together. It is a specific aim of the series to publish high quality empirical research with real impact factor, useful to practitioners, standard setters and policy makers. The series publishes books in the subjects of financial accounting, internal and external auditing, risk management, corporate disclosure and communication to financial market, non-financial information and reporting, management accounting, corporate governance, company valuation, fundamental analysis and security valuation, and insolvency risk.
The series is divided into two sections of books. The books on the reviewed section are subject to a double blind peer review.
Theory and practice in accounting, auditing and risk management accepts email submissions of books and book proposals.

The Editors select and address the publication proposals. The Editorial Board assists the Editors in the review process and in selecting the reviewers. The members of the Editorial Board can contribute as reviewers. In this case, the members of the Editorial Board cannot be involved in the review process.
