Lo scopo del presente studio è quello di analizzare la struttura fattoriale della versione ita-liana della Verbal Commentary on Physical Appearance Scale-Partner (VCOPAS-P; Carriere e Kluck, 2014) volta a cogliere i commenti sull’aspetto fisico ricevuti dal proprio partner. Le partecipanti sono 313 donne italiane. Sono state condotte una item analysis e un’analisi fattoriale confermativa; la validità convergente della scala è stata indagata esaminando le correlazio-ni tra la VCOPAS-P, il Body Shape Questionnaire-14 (BSQ-14), e la Couple Satisfaction Scale (CSS). In linea con la versione originale della scala, la struttura trifattoriale della VCO-PAS-P risulta confermata nella versione italiana: commenti negativi relativi a peso e forma (NWS = 9 item; a = 0.87), commenti positivi relativi a peso e forma (PWS = 4 item; aa 0.70), e commenti positivi relativi all’apparenza in generale (PGA = 7 item; a = 0.87). Per quanto riguarda i risultati della validità convergente, le sottoscale NWS e PWS correlano signi-icativamente con l’insoddisfazione corporea; entrambe le sottoscale PWS e PGA correlano significativamente con la soddisfazione diadica. Questi risultati suggeriscono che la VCO-PAS-P potrebbe rappresentare uno strumento utile ed attendibile per misurare, nelle giovani donne italiane, i commenti relativi all’apparenza ricevuti dal proprio partner.;
