The present paper aims at investigating the value of research in social sciences. Moving from the idea that the scientific method, by itself, is not enough to discriminate between scientific and non scientific results, we guess if there are more ontological, epistemological and ethical factors which can, as well as method does, affect new research and new ideas in social sciences.
