Corporate Governance and Research & Development Studies is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access journal devoted to advancing research on governance and management in contexts characterised by sustainability challenges, innovation dynamics, and institutional transformation.
The journal provides a global platform for academics, policymakers and practitioners interested in contemporary governance challenges and transformation processes, with a focus on theoretical advancement, empirical rigor and practical relevance. The journal’s scope is organised around three integrated macro-domains: corporate governance and strategic leadership; sustainability, ESG and responsible value creation; and innovation, digital transformation across private and public organisations. The journal welcomes interdisciplinary and comparative contributions addressing corporations, family firms, SMEs, financial institutions and public entities, with particular attention to the interaction between governance mechanisms, sustainability transitions and innovation dynamics.

PEER REVIEW PROCESS
The journal's articles are subject to peer review. Each submission is initially evaluated by the Executive Editorial Board, which assesses its alignment with the editorial line. If the evaluation is positive, the manuscript is assigned to two reviewers, selected from the list of referees, the members of the Scientific Committee, or among external experts invited to contribute based on their recognized expertise. The complete list of referees is kept by the Editorial Office and periodically published on the Journal’s website. In the following step, the reviewers’ comments are communicated to the author. If the reviewers provide conflicting assessments, a third reviewer will be consulted. The corrections made by the author will then be reviewed by the referees until the revisions are deemed satisfactory. If not, the Editorial Office will request further modifications based on the reviewers' feedback. Before final acceptance, the manuscript must fully comply with the Journal’s editorial guidelines, according to the instructions provided by the Editorial Office. Reviewers list
