Whitin the Italian cities, migrants increase their presence and take roots. Thus, they participate to social division of both space and labour and to the transformation of socio-economic landscape. In Naples, there has been a considerable increase of immigrants enrolled with the Chamber of commerce as traders (street vendors or shopkeepers). Looking at the map of these trade activities and analysing some migration trajectories collected thanks to the interviews, we can assume and describe the transformation dynamics of socio-spatial landscape of the city. The research presented allows us to conclude that the category of segregation does not help to analyse the transformation trajectories of the city. Instead, a more objective analytical reading of the processes allows us to better decipher some characters of Naples, also the sedimented ones.
