The article gives a detailed presentation of the approach called “Appreciative Inquiry” for the evaluation of organizational contexts. In particular, the main goals are: a) present the key concepts of the approach, now widely credited in the organization analysis and b) propose the application of ‘Appreciative Inquiry’, in the evaluation of organizations, highlighting the advantages and disadvantages. The article follows and illustrates the following points:1. What is the Appreciative Inquiry; .2. when Appreciative Inquiry is born; 3. what are the basic principles and assumptions to implement the approach Appreciative Inquiry; 4. description of the model 4-D and 4-I used in Appreciative Inquiry; 5. evaluation and Appreciative Iinquiry.
