Video mycro-analysis in the mother-baby couple therapy. During a meeting "incontro/confronto", organized by SIPRe the 21st February 2009 in Milan, George Downing showed the video intervention therapy of a mother-daughter couple, hospitalized in a special unit at the University of Heidelberg Medical School. The mother, a serously abused and traumatized woman, reveals through the AAI not to have worked out the traumatic loss of some important reference figures and incur some microdissociation episodes, when such figures are evoked in spech. The mother’s disfunctional behaviour and the daughter’s adaptation strategies are highlighted in the video.
