Some reflections on the topicality of Anselm Strauss' thought are offered in this short article. The transformative power of Straussian thought influences some contemporary conversations, whether Strauss is quoted, or whether he has become transparent because his teachings have "reincarnated" in other writings. In particular, the Straussian legacy is identified in the ground-ed theory as a disciplined method towards creativity, in the procedural approach of "process studies" and in the trend of "practice-based studies" which study work as a situated practice. This reflection looks at both the elements of continuity of Straussian thought and those of dis-continuity, identifying in the first group the concept of the social world taken up by studies on digitalization and the transition from interaction to intra-action in a posthumanist epistemology.
