Artificial Intelligence is a transformative force with the potential to revolutionize numerous industries. It is important to address its environmental, economic and social impact in a timely and effective manner through collaboration between sectors, continuous research into innovative technological solutions, the adoption of sustainable corporate strategies and policies, and the promotion of global regulations. Public awareness and commitment are key to shaping a sustainable path. The tourism sector is also among the sectors where artificial intelligence is revolutionizing. AI is, in fact, redefining the way we travel and how service providers interact with tourists: from automated bookings to chatbots for customer support, to price optimization, destination management, to personalizing travel experiences. The idea of AI-powered sustainability in tourism stems from the growing awareness of climate change and environmental degradation, as well as advances in artificial intelligence and big data technologies that have enabled the development of sophisticated tools that can optimize the use of resources and reduce waste.
