The paper analyses the context of the European Commission’s proposal for a regulation on the security, resilience and sustainability of space activities in the Union, better known as the EU Space Act, the objectives it pursues in the current socio-economic and geo-strategic context, its main content in relation to these objectives, with a view to identifying the possible impact it would have on the competences and legislation of Member States in this area, on the European space industry and, more generally, on the European governance of space activities, in light of current geopolitical scenarios.
