The article explores the relationship between sustainability, welfare and businesses in an Italian industrial district, studying various practices adopted by companies of different sizes between 2023 and 2024. The research, combining quantitative and qualitative methods and taking inspiration from GRI and ESRS standards, highlights a possible correlation between the crisis of the welfare state, the ecological crisis and environmental paradoxes. Eco-corporate welfare, emerging from the intersection of the plans investigated, highlights critical issues such as the gender pay gap and the under-representation of women. The companies analysed demonstrate virtuous practices that can serve as models to be followed, capable of creating a truly sustainable green scenario
