This paper is part of the interest of sociological research in the multiple processes that describe the social complexity of the contemporary age, which is marked by demographic changes and invested by the consequent transformations in the socio-cultural sphere in complex organisational systems, which see an exponential increase in the degree of diversity within them. Thus arises – as an organisational need as much as a democratic one – the urgency to manage these changes, deeply understanding the elements that hinder the promotion of diversity in organisational cultures, through Diversity Management (DM) as a tool, which aims to recognise and enhance the human capital that everyone inhabiting the organisation owns. Finally, the article provides theoretical reflections applied to age diversity management, as an example of intergenerational encounter and fruitful exchange of knowledge beyond stereotypes and prejudices.
