The article intends to critically investigate the current structure of labor law still focused, from an axiological and regulatory point of view, on the predominance of the case of subordinate work, where it would be time to reconsider how all work falls within the capitalist production process. Overcoming the existing fracture be- tween legal norm and social reality, a unitary and at the same time pluralistic idea of work can allow a new law policy and a different regulatory architecture, aimed at the construction of social protections linked to personal work in favor of others, in- dependently the type of negotiation and the contractual forms used, and regardless of the legal categories of autonomy or subordination.
