Virtuous processes oriented to energy transition are based on approaches to spatial plan-ning which integrate the use of local resources to produce energy and to protect the envi-ronment in a proactive way. This article implements this conceptual framework as regards the Plan for the energy and the environment of the Region of Sardinia, on the basis of self-sustainability and the development of the energy communities.
