The recovery of the Tifeo Power Station, designed by Giuseppe Samonà at the end of the 1950s, today is able to be a significant step in the redevelopment process of the entire area of the Augusta bay, placing itself as a punctual activator of practicable bigger processes. In the presence of the cultural need to report the serious risks for the survival of this important architectural complex, the research experience conducted on the general theme of the restoration of modern architecture has allowed to clearly outline the main theoretical questions within which it is possible to define a precise methodology that, taking into account the specific case, places it within a wider and scientifically-founded disciplinary reflection.
