Questo testo insiste sulla condizione dei minori allontanati dalle famiglie di origine e ospitati in contesti comunitari fino al compimento dei 18 anni. Ingresso nella maggiore età e dimissione dai circuiti di accoglienza non garantiscono affatto il raggiungimento di una piena autonomia, e ciò comporta i rischi di marginalizzazione cumulativa e di ulteriori disagi. Una norma recente disciplina anche per i care-leavers italiani l’accesso a benefici economici e prolunga l’offerta di tutele. La situazione nazionale viene analizzata alla luce di approcci della letteratura internazionale.;
