The paper presents a reflection on Venice’s social housing, proposing a quantitative investigation of venetian public housing stock. While conflicts between citizens (temporary and not) and tourist rise, the paper aims to draw a critical framework based on the analysis of public properties data and tenants. To broaden the discussion about the tools that could be used to re-habiting historic centres, housing policy recommendations are finally presented.
