The technological transformations that are taking place in recent times, which found its most emblematic manifestation in the phenomenon of digitization, are causing intensive consequences on the economy, and is, over the employment included, about the model of labour relations. Beyond the differences in diagnosis to be made, it is undeniable that the emergence of these technologies requires an analysis of the consequences this has on the current regulatory framework of labour relations, both in its individual and collective. In the light of this, the present study aims to make a first approach to the impact of digitization of the economy on employment and adaptability of the current legal model for regulating new realities. Intends, also, wonder about the ability of the labour legislation to influence the evolution of industrial relations in the current stage of universality and speed in the implementation of the digitization, about the lack of adaptation of such regulations to respond to the new labour scenario and identifying central aspects that would require a modification of our institutional framework.
