Cancer mortality is currently decreasing. However, improvements in quality of life are not always the case. Distress disease-related may adversely affect relationship and sexuality. Recovering and maintaining a satisfactory sexual life can increase wellbeing. Feeling sexually active and desired may positively influence body image and reduce the burden of disease. The Authors examined the relationship between cancer and sexuality, suggesting a medical and psycho-sexual approach in the hospital setting.

Keywords: Cancer, sexuality, relationship, quality of life, sexual dysfunction, sexual counselling
