During the last thirty years, large social and economic changes have deeply transformed criteria of linguistics competence in French society. French is an essential symbolic resource in professional life, but many among French citizens speak a different mother tongue. We propose here a classification of the multilingual speakers in France according to three sociolinguistical profiles.
