The article points out the topic of ambiguity through a psychoanalytic inquiry of the ethic subject. First the author explains the distinction between morals and ethics, then he outlines the main psychoanalytic contributions on the topic. The critical reading of one famous novel by Jonathan Littell, The Kindly Ones, follows, in order to light the ambiguous signs of the dis-recognition of the unconscious level, that are the specific markers of the ethic subject. Finally, several figures of ambiguity are drawn, which we meet in the psychoanalytic work.
