Nowadays, after the recent world crisis, economic and financial organisations are experiencing, more than ever, a feeling of vulnerability and of being at risk. Hence, the organisations’ capacities to adapt and be fl exible - i. e. be resilient - have become critical. Resilience, in economic systems, is grounded on a diffuse sense of responsibility involving all stakeholders, on a large-scale understanding of reality and in addition comprises the ability to detect and correct errors. Moreover, health organisations can also meet current critical challenges by developing organisational fl exibility through practices of horizontal decision making and empowerment. In a cultural perspective, organisations build up through processes governed by weak connections, that engender the members’ understanding of their living context.
