A ride on the wild side. The role of nature in cycling landscapes

Nature plays a central role in the construction, promotion and enjoyment of cycling landscapes. Referring to the most recent approaches to mobility – understood as practices contributing to the creation of landscapes, places and identities – as well as to those dedicated to the social nature, the text focuses on the phenomenon of bicycle tourism, on the scientific literature dedicated to it, addressing the relationship between bicycle and nature. In particular, the article identifies and explores three ways in which natureparticipates in cycling tourism (conceptual, elemental and infrastructural nature)
