The Court of Florence rejected, for lack of evidence, the compensation request for damage deriving from "ruined vacation" proposed by a couple who, after purchasing a tourist package that included the celebration of the wedding on a Hawaiian beach, had complained about some shortcomings: lack of ocean view from the hotel room, as stated in the catalog; celebra-tion of the ceremony on a beach other than the one agreed upon; failure to recognize the mar-riage celebrated in Italy due to lack of Apostille validation. After outlining the regulatory framework and recalling the jurisprudential precedents on the subject concerning "ruined vacation damage" in relation to honeymoons, the A. stressed the tourist operator’s duty to inform in the asymmetry information with the tourist/consumer, also with reference to misleading advertising profiles due to failure to match the content of the information operator’s cata-log.
