The tale of a couple in love, and even more in love with their land, who invest their re-sources in generating a different future in their municipality through creativity, architecture and art, transforming a 19th-century perimeter of ruins and squatting, located in an abandoned historic center in south-western Sicily, into the bombastic "sixth place in the world as a cultural tourist destination" is, not only in terms of the media, irresistible. The proposed analysis will attempt to escape the celebratory mantra to which it is rightly subjected by the scientific literature and the carnivorous media interest, inserting Farm Cultural Park in a process which, although innervated by contemporaneity and prospective intentions, finds the cultural reasons for its success in the emporium of history, signs and contradictions that have characterised an oxy-moronic region such as Sicily, located at the center of the Mediterranean and at the southern edge of the West.
