Regulated by Law no. 81/2017 with few provisions and largely enshrined to the individual agreement between employer and employee, the so-called lavoro agile has long remained a means for organizational flexibility for a few, and larger, companies. The Covid-19 crisis has ensured its massive spread, helped by a simplified access for the purpose of containing the infection, but has also revealed the significant benefits for business organization. The grow-ing number of collective agreements on the subject shows how social partners are aware not only of its opportunities but also of the need to control its most controversial aspects and to lead the organizational change.
