Nella letteratura scientifica e nei documenti di organismi internazionali risulta che la violenza di genere domestica ha effetti sui minori anche quando questi ultimi non sono vittime dirette. Tra le 588 donne che si sono rivolte ai centri antiviolenza del Comune di Napoli nel 2023, la nostra ricerca intervista 168 delle 317 che avevano figli/e. I figli, di cui sono stati considerati i vissuti e comportamenti, sono stati 272 (138 maschi e 134 femmine). I riferiti delle madri hanno evidenziato reazioni di: interposizione, chiusura, pianto, urla, agitazione, enuresi, immobilizzazione (freezing), richiesta di aiuto. Gli effetti subiti risultano numerosi e convergenti; e si differenziano per genere e fasce d’età sia in relazione alla modalità della risposta sia in relazione ai tempi.
