The article considers the results of collective bargaining at company level in the metalworking sector following the innovative and ambitious national collective agreement of 2016. In this agreement, there is a broad delegation to collective bargaining at company level to intervene on numerous matters. In this regard, the authors - also in view of the possibility to consult the specific and relevant database OCSEL (Osservatorio nazionale sulla Contrattazione di Secon-do Livello, Cisl) - classify the main subjects covered by the collective bargaining at company level and carry out a statistical and quantitative analysis of the agreements, as well as illustrate some emblematic and particularly important cases. The essay closes with an overall evaluation of the results of collective bargaining at company level during the term of the national collec-tive agreement and, also on account of this assessment, raises the issue of renewal of the said agreement for the three-year period 2020-2022.
