The article investigates the impact of the recent reforms on the exercise of disciplinary power in the Italian public sector. More specifically, it focuses on the innovations concerning the dis-ciplinary proceeding and the types of conduct that may be subject to sanctions. Eventually the author tries to figure out how the reforms may, on the one hand, bring more clarity on the exercise of disciplinary power, and yet, on the other hand, pave the way for some regulatory uncertainty.
