Trough clinical vignettes and reflections on personal experiences which are framed in the reference theories, the author tries to show how her analytical attitude has been gradually consolidating through the idea that empathy appears to be necessary but not sufficient for psychotherapy. Bond damages and repairs involve both the patient and the analyst in an experience full of meaning, which involves them in an individual process, in their most profound aspects becoming more original and creative.
