The author briefly replies to the comments received and identifies the three main issues that in her opinion are the most relevant: the importance of the context, the subject’s development and the clinical implications of her therapeutic model. After acknowledging the validity of some arguments and discussing them, the author reasserts and confirms her position. The most articulated discussion concerns Roggero’s criticism on the emergence of the subject as the expression of a self-determination that does not come from the external world. Harrison thinks that selfdetermination takes place when the patient moves beyond his relation to the analyst and changes something in his original widest context.
